Miasto Ayutthaya
Miasto Ayutthaya jest dawną stolicą
Królestwa Syjamu, położone jest ok. 80 km od Bangkoku. W 1767
zostało zniszczone przez wojska birmańskie i nigdy nie udało mu
się odzyskać dawnej świetności. Można podziwiać w nim
pozostałości pałacu królewskiego oraz kilku świątyń. Legenda
głosi, że jedna ze świątyń powstała w miejscu, w którym
spoglądający przez pałacowe okno król zobaczył prochy Buddy.
City of Ayutthaya
City of Ayutthaya is a former capital
of the Kingdom of Siam, is situated approximately 80 km from Bangkok.
In 1767 it was destroyed by by the Burmese army and was never able to
regain its former glory. Can admire there remains of the royal palace
and several temples. The legend says that one of the temples was
established in the place where the King looking through the palace
window saw the ashes of Buddha.
