Sukhothai


Sukhothai jest pradawną stolicą Tajlandii. Na terenie znajdującego się tu parku archeologicznego znajdują się ruiny pałacu królewskiego, kilkudziesięciu świątyń oraz posągi Buddy z XIII wieku. Zabytki rozrzucone są na rozległym terenie.

Sukhothai jest większym, bardziej efektownym, ciekawiej położonym i lepiej zachowanym miejscem, niż podobna w charakterze, dawna stolica kraju – Ayutthaya.

Sukhothai is the ancient capital of Thailand. In the area located here archaeological park are the ruins of the royal palace, dozens of temples and statues of Buddha from the thirteenth century. Monuments are scattered over a wide area.

Sukhothai is a bigger, more spectacular, more interesting and better preserved situated place, than similar in character, the former capital of the country - Ayutthaya.
